Awakening the façade & tenants

MidAtlantic completed extensive façade renovations at the Gwynedd Crossing Shopping Center and transformed a former Whole Foods Market into a modern 20,500 SF Aldi Grocery Store. The Aldi renovation included the installation of new mechanical systems to serve both the customer sales floor and the back-of-house stockroom and loading dock areas. Advanced coolant systems were added to support the store’s customer-facing coolers and freezers, and all transaction spaces, partitions, and finishes were provided to meet Aldi’s corporate design standards.

The façade renovation involved substantial structural and architectural upgrades to revitalize the shopping center while maintaining uninterrupted occupancy and customer access to existing businesses. Key features included the construction of five new steel-framed decorative towers at strategic tenant locations, adding visual interest and breaking up the horizontal expanse of the original design. This project reflects MidAtlantic’s commitment to delivering high-quality renovations in active, operational environments, blending functionality with modern aesthetics.
